Ornithological Consulting

Birding Services Brisbane is an ornithological consultancy.  We offer ornithological expertise when required in respect of Environmental Impact Assessments, development applications generally, when required by the EPA or for general habitat assessment and fauna surveys.

Our consultant is Roy Sonnenburg who has a Graduate Certificate in Applied Science.  He is an "A" Class bander and is a former president of the Queensland Ornithological Society.  He chaired Brisbane City Council's Biodiversity Advisory Committee for 7 years until January 2006 and was a member of an Expert Panel on Brisbane City Council's Regional Ecosystem Assessment Project.  He was also a member of the EPA's expert panel assessing SE Queensland Bio-region biodiversity.  Roy also worked for several years on the new Atlas of Australian Birds as the Queensland Facilitator.

We can also call on the services of other experienced ornithologists when necessary.
